For All Who Mother

"A child's first teacher is its mother." ~ Peng Liyuan

Hello, Friends! I hope you are catching up on past stories and blogs while I am away writing. Things got off to a bit of a rocky start for my May plans with unexpected dental surgery, but thankfully my fingers can still type as my mouth heals!

I wanted to be sure to wish all the mother figures a happy day. Every woman has a mothering spirit within her. It can manifest through her own children or grandchildren, adopted children, fostered children, children she teaches, animals, the plants and flowers, etc. A mother nurtures and that happens in many forms.

So, here is wishing you a happy mothering day and I will see you sometime in June with new stories and blogs.

Below is a poem I wrote for my mother, Jimelle, in 1995. She is no longer here physically, but she is always with me. I hear or see her in countless ways daily.
